I'm honored to join such a talented team and thrilled to contribute to its mission of driving transformative change to its clients across the globe. Yesterday, I started a new chapter in my career as Consultant at Eurogroup Consulting, one of the most prestigious and influential consulting firms in the industry. Your support, collaboration, and dedication made all the difference, and I will always cherish the moments we created together with more to come. I want to give a very special thanks to my old team, for being such an inspiring group of professionals. Together, we developed innovative solutions, expanded our client base, and received incredible recognition for our outstanding work. In my last year and a half, I was fortunate to serve as Partner and contribute to the growth and success of the company. I'm proud to have been a part of the PFC International team, where I achieved many amazing milestones with my colleagues. In that short but productive break, I have focused on my SHRM certification, worked on some exciting projects, travelled, and most importantly spent quality time with family and friends. I'm excited to share some updates with you! After 5 years and 6 months at PFC International I decided to take some time off to recharge and pursue personal and professional development opportunities. "We have to treat this with extreme seriousness and there is a legitimate existential risk here." “AGI is just different than anything we’ve seen before." Whether your business is doing anything with AI or not, you can certainly figure out how it impacts your work." "We see a huge divergence in productivity between people at companies that embrace AI and those who don't. "Our vision for the future is based on APIs that are simple and stable and lifts up the whole internet and our collective intelligence."ĩ) Get started now - even if your company isn't (This is certainly true today in hospitality.) "If you can take friction out of payments it unlocks tremendous growth in the economy." "Co-pilots seem like the easy win across industries." (This could be an opportunity for those in hospitality to recruit others from outside the industry in.)ĥ) "The idea that people could work remotely forever was one of tech's biggest mistakes."Ħ) The best opportunities in AI are in creating new interface models for existing work. We need to bring fresh eyes to new problems." When asked about how to operate a business in new and quickly-changing environments, Sam said, "People tend to bring too many of their past experiences to new problems. "We are very forgiving of other humans making mistakes but have extremely little patience for computers making mistakes." "Chatbots were big in 2017 and it was right in terms of what people wanted, but the underlying technology wasn't there."ģ) We need to be careful with consumer-facing applications. "Natural language allows us to convey very complex concepts and ChatGPT gives us the ability to communicate in very complex ways directly with machines." Here are my top 10 takeaways:ġ) The interface is just as important as the underlying technology. I just listened to Open AI CEO Sam Altman talk for 45 minutes about ChatGPT and the future of AI this afternoon in San Francisco.
